Village Realty was started in January of 1989 by Jim Doyel who is its present owner and principal broker. We are engaging in all forms of real estate sales and property management. Our inventory of properties includes lots, homes, town homes, acreage, commercial, and rentals. Our market area includes all of Loudon County, TN, including Tellico Village, Lenoir City, Loudon, and Greenback. Because our customer base demands it we occasionally venture into the surrounding counties of Knox, Blount, Monroe, Anderson, and Roane.

We are members of the Knoxville Association of Realtors, the Tennessee Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors. We are also members of the Knoxville Multiple Listing Service. Our office is located in downtown Tellico Village. First Central Bank is located in front of us and Bank First is to the side of us. Next door is the Village Cafe. We are very easy to find. The year 2001 marks the beginning of our 13th year as a leader in our market. We can help you find property to fit your needs, a reputable builder to build for you, an existing home in the resale market, banks to provide financing, or a place to rent while building.

Village Realty is here to help you find the perfect home in a paradise setting such as East Tennessee. We are located southwest of Knoxville, TN in the heart of one of the nation's top waterfront and golf communities - Tellico Village - and just minutes away from the Rarity Bay Community. Village Realty serves many of the waterfront communities on Tellico Lake, Ft. Loudon Lake, and Watts Bar Lake. Some of these communities include Tellico Village, Rarity Bay, Rarity Pointe, Avalon, Conkinnon Pointe, Miller's Landing, and Tennessee National.

Text Box: Text Box: Jim was born in Michigan, moved to Pennsylvania, and from there to Ohio. While in Ohio, Jim attended Ohio State University where he met his wife Judy and began working for General Motors as a design engineer.

Several years after the birth of their first daughter, Jim and his family moved to Detroit, Michigan where their second daughter was born. Jim became the chief engineer of a major automotive and tooling company. While in this position, Jim realized managing the engineering group was rewarding, but he enjoyed working with the customers even more. He liked listening to their needs and engineering a solution to meet those needs.

In 1991, Jim and Judy heard about Tellico Village at a boat show. They made a visit to the Village and purchased their first property in Tanasi Coves on the lake. For thirteen years they spent every available moment in the Village watching it grow and exploring the lake with a boat they kept in dry storage at a local marina. Every visit made it more difficult to return to Detroit.

When Jim and Judy’s daughters moved to other parts of the country and Judy retired, they moved to Kahite in Tellico Village, and built a home on the golf course. Long before moving, Jim realized how happy people were that lived in the Village. He began a career in real estate in order to help others find that same happiness. After several years Jim can say that in spite of the hard work, real estate is one of the most rewarding jobs he has ever had.
